James
Robinson is included as one of the special writers for Vampirella because
of the standout story for Blood Lust and his obvious affection for both
the character herself and her greatest writer (in my opinion) - Archie
Goodwin.
His ability to weave the story of Vampi's time between her death and resurrection is masterly, enhanced beyond measure by the fabulous art of Joe Jusko. I make no apology for my admiration for this series, as you can read in my essay published in the Harris Horrornet when Seth Biederman was its editor (reproduced here). |
