Magdalena/Vampirella This is a good crossover. The story focuses on Vampirella and The Magdalena meeting for the first time in Paris, with some really strong violence depicted, and in traditional format Vampi and Maggie fight it out at first then discover they are really on the same side (have we heard that before?). Dynamic Forces jumped onto the alternative covers scene though, with several versions of an alternative cover by Art Adams. Dynamic Forces produced a really rare hardcover volume collected this crossover and the Vampirella/Witchblade crossover as well (see below). |

Magdalena/Vampirella 2 This second crossover of Vampirella and The Magdalena is, like the Vampirella/ Witchblade second crossover, better than the first. The story is pretty simplistic (Vampi is after an idol that may cure her blood-sucking need but fails) but the action flows along smoothly and Vampirella looks good. Somewhere in there the Spear of Destiny makes an appearance as well. The regular Francis Manapul cover (Cover A) was distributed with an alternate cover by Christopher Bachalo in a 1-in-4 ratio. |
